Open-campus means students can leave the school premises at lunch time, closed-campus means they cannot. If there was an initiative question on the April ballot that asked whether Anchorage high schools should be open-campus, or whether they should be closed-campus, how do you think you would vote?

8B. Changing Anchorage high schools to closed campus would have associated costs. Each school would probably require one more assistant principal and one or two additional security personnel. Funding these positions across the district would add approximately $1.5 million to the school district’s budget. Knowing this, if there was an initiative question on the April ballot that asked whether Anchorage high schools should be open-campus, or whether they should be closed-campus, how do you think you would vote?
