    Alaska Teem Media Video Competition

    Alaska Railroad Tour Guide Training Program

     

    This training program provides students with excellent job skills and opportunities in the visitor industry, with specific focus as a tour guide for the Alaska Railroad. 
    Class is held Monday - Thursday during second semester from 3-5:30pm at KCC. Students selected to be Tour Guides will work full time during the summer. Email russellr@akrr.com for more information.

     

    Attention Sophomores and Juniors: Would you like to explore a career and earn credit? The Gifted Mentorship Program will begin accepting applications for the 2016-17 school year on March 1st, 2016. You must meet GPA, coursework, and standardized test score requirements to qualify. Students spend 45-60 hours with a mentor in their field of interest and complete various assignments, including a final project. Visit the program website for more information and the application or contact the coordinator, Amber Jaasma.


    Girls on Ice

    A unique, free wilderness science education program offered through UAF. To be eligible, girls must be aged 16-18 during the program (June-July). The application period is December -January.


    First Generation College Students
