• AMCS evaluates applications based on student application information, short answer responses, transcript, recommendations, discipline record, and test scores (Aleks and Accuplacer). In addition to this holistic review of a student's application materials, there are some minimum requirements that students must meet in order to be considered for admission.

    Students must be:

    • Be an 11th or 12th grader the semester they are applying for
    • On track for on time high school graduation
    • Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
    • Have qualifying test scores on the ALEKS/Accuplacer
      • College placement:  
        • ALEKS - ≥30
        • Accuplacer ≥530
      • If students do not earn qualifying scores on both the ALEKS and Accuplacer, they must meet one of the qualifications below:
        • ALEKS ≥30 + Accuplacer ≥500
        • Accuplacer ≥530 + high school Algebra II ready
