• CLASSES

    6th grade now runs on the traditional elementary immersion schedule (half day English - half day German, plus music/art/P.E.). In 7th and 8th grade, we offer FIVE core classes:

    1. ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS
    2. MATH (Math 7, Math 8, Algebra, Geometry)
    3. IGERMAN LANGUAGE ARTS GERMAN IMMERSION
    4. SOCIAL STUDIES GERMAN IMMERSION
    5. SCIENCE GERMAN IMMERSION

    In addition, Rilke Schule’s 7th/8th grade students attend classes in:

    1. MUSIC
    2. ART
    3. PHYSICAL EDUCATION & HEALTH
    4. CTE (Career and Technical Education; PLTW courses)

     

    SCHEDULES

    At the beginning of the school year, each 7/8th grade student will be given his/her full schedule. Each student will have at least 4 different periods per day. Scheduling all middle school classes is a complex and time-consuming task; be assured that student needs are always put first when developing their schedule. A student’s core schedule is intended to remain the same for the entire school year.
