ASD's online presence

The Web Communications team is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the district's external and internal websites. The team is also the lead for implementing the Web content management system. Their goal is to enhance, expand and innovate ASD's online presence.

ASD overhauled its website during the summer of 2016. The new site emphasizes a clean, responsive design that gives parents, students, the community and employees easier access to content across multiple devices.


The site was created with Terminal Four's Web content management system (CMS) that allows multiple content editors across the district in schools and departments to manage their own sites. Distributing the management of content out to the sources enhances the quality and timeliness of information available to website users.

It is the goal of the Anchorage School District that the information on its website be accessible to individuals with disabilities in compliance with the requirements of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and that the statute's implementing regulations at 34 C.F.R.
