Career Technical Education Pathways

Anchorage School District Career Pathways are based on The National Career Clusters ® Framework, which provides structure for organizing and delivering quality CTE programs.  Career Pathways serve as an organizational tool to help guide Anchorage School District in developing programs of study to bridge students from high school to all post graduation opportunities.  ASD has 44 Career Pathways represented throughout the highschools and the King Career Center. CTE will provide rigorous career pathways from which students may choose that will lead them through a program of studies that emphasizes 21st century academic and technical skills to meet the challenges of post-secondary education and lead to viable positions in the workforce

As middle and high school students begin exploring their interests and passions, Career Pathways can serve as an empowering tool to help them choose the educational pathway that can lead to success in high school, college and career.

The Career Technical Education department is undergoing a strategic pathway alignment project.  To learn more about this project visit the Pathway Development page.
