HANDS-ON TRADES TRAINING
Did you know that each year, over 50% of new building trades apprentices have taken classes through Alaska Works Partnership?
Alaska Works Partnership helps Alaska's Youth get connected with pre-apprenticeship youth training. These classes are FREE for all high school students.
Requirements:
- Apply online at www.alaskaworks.org under Youth Tab.
- Must be 16 and older and enrolled in a High School program. (Graduating seniors are eligible)
- Must provide your own transportation and be able to attend each day of training in order to be considered for selection.

March 9 - March 13 (Spring Break), 8AM to 4:30PM:
Carpentry (Highschool Students Only)
You will learn:
- Basics of Carpentry and Trades Math
- Power tools and construction site safety
- Hands-on project building
- Carpentry apprenticeship and career pathways
There are no fees required to attend these classes.
