- Review, design, and manage K-12 literacy curriculum materials
- Develop, review, revise, and support implementation of academic plans and priority plans
- Promote effective literacy instruction across all curricular areas through professional development and school support
- Support ELA-focused student, teacher, and community activities and events
- Provide leadership and support to implement an MTSS framework
- Develop and sustain district, community, state, and national, partnerships to implement the ASD mission
Department Overview
The English Language Arts department is dedicated to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to develop mastery in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language. We work to provide culturally relevant, rigorous, equitable, engaging language arts curriculum materials and coursework and to support literacy education across our district and community.
