The ASD Socials Studies Department provides information and support to not only, better inform and facilitate academic success of our students but also, the mastery of civic skills, civic knowledge and civic dispositions.  We advocate for citizenship education and are bound by the idea that our democratic republic will not sustain unless students know the past, read, write and think deeply, and act in ways that promote the common good.
