The ASD mobile app puts the information you want in the palm of your hand. Our free app is available to anyone in our community who wants to stay connected, with additional features for current ASD parents/guardians and students.

How Do I Login as a Parent/Guardian?
Your login for the ASD app is different from your login for Q ParentConnection.
To establish an ASD app login, click “Forgot Password” in the app and a new password will be emailed to you. This will be different from the password that you use for Q ParentConnection.
Excuse Your Child’s Absence through Q/ParentConnection!
There’s a new feature in Q/ParentConnection that you can also access from the ASD mobile app!
Look for the Attendance Manager icon when you log into the ASD app. Selecting that icon will launch the Q/ParentConnect site where you can log-in and excuse absences.
Parents/guardians can excuse an absence through the ASD App up to three days prior and three days after the absence for the following reasons: illness, medical, or religious.

How Do I Opt In or Out of SMS/Text Mass Notifications?
Every user is automatically opted in when they register through Q/ParentConnect.
Users can opt out of:
- Phone calls: Call the Finalsite Phone Hotline at 855-502-7867.
- Text/SMS messages: Reply STOP to any Finalsite system text or to the +1-907-313-2102 number.
- Emails: Click the unsubscribe link from any email they receive.
Users can opt back in to:
- Phone calls: Call the Finalsite Phone Hotline at 855-502-7867 from the phone line that has been opted out.
- Text/SMS messages: Reply START to +1-907-313-2102 number from the phone line that has been opted out.
Users cannot opt out of Emergency Messages.
Notifications Preferences
To change your notification delivery preferences, please contact your school's front office directly and ask them to assist. If your school is not available to assist, contact the ASD Communications, Publications, and External Affairs department for assistance.
Notifications Sign-up
Community members can sign-up to receive notifications from the Anchorage School District, including updates about ASD Listens, by filling out the form below. When prompted to select schools, select Anchorage School District.

ASD Chat within the ASD Mobile App
Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, the Anchorage School District (ASD) is introducing ASD Chat, a new messaging tool within the ASD Mobile App. ASD Chat will replace Remind as the district-supported platform schools and teachers may use to communicate with students and families.
ASD Chat provides a secure, centralized way for teachers to share classroom updates, reminders and important information with families and students age 13 and older.
Benefits of ASD Chat include:
- Receive classroom messages directly through the ASD Mobile App.
- Secure, district-supported communication between teachers, families and students age 13 and older.
What families should know:
- Teacher participation is optional.
- Schools/teachers who opt to use ASD Chat will contact their school/classroom families directly.
Additional information, including how to access and begin using ASD Chat, will be shared on this page as it becomes available.
Student Log-in
Student (over 13) Login
Only students over the age of 13 will have access to Finalsite Chat.
- Open a Browser window and type https://www.asdk12.org/fs/chat into the URL bar
- In the username field the student will type their ASD username and include @asdk12.org at the end.
- Example: lastname.firstname@asdk12.org
- Example: lastname.firstname@asdk12.org
- Students over 13 can also access Finalsite Chat from the ASD Mobile App.
Staff Log-in
- Go to the ASD Login Portal
- Click the Finalsite Chat icon.
- In the username field, type your full ASD email address. Lastname_Firstname@asdk12.org
