Department Overview
Anchorage School District’s Development & Grants Department works to expand educational opportunities for students by securing external funding, managing philanthropic partnerships, and ensuring responsible stewardship of public and private resources.
Through grants, donations, and community partnerships, the department supports district priorities that enhance student learning, well-being, and innovation across Anchorage School District schools.
Our work helps bridge gaps between available public funding and the resources needed to support innovative practices and programs for students, educators, and families.

Donate to ASD
Financial contributions help Anchorage School District support students, educators, and programs beyond what public funding alone can provide. Donations may be directed to a specific school, department, or initiative, or designated for district-wide needs where support is most needed.

Give via the Anchorage Schools Foundation
The Anchorage Schools Foundation was created to make grants to support activities that enhance students’ success in the Anchorage School District. School professionals are invited to apply, including principals, teachers, nurses, counselors, administrators, and certified staff.

Support Classroom Projects
DonorsChoose is the most trusted classroom funding site for public school teachers.
Every donation funds real needs — pencils, books, lab equipment, art supplies, and more — helping students learn and thrive. We ship supplies directly to the school, and you'll see exactly where each dollar goes.
