Request an Interpreter
The ELL Department provides interpreters for meetings across the district. Interpreters are a contributing factor to the success of ASD students and an integral part to helping parents understand. Using the ASD staff that work with our students every day provides a more stable environment of trust and care among our families.
ASD principals, APs, office staff, ELL Resource Teachers (elementary) and ELL DCs (High School) have access to request an interpreter through District Connection. If you are a school-based staff member and need to request an interpreter, please contact one of these staff members at your school to submit the request.
Remember to give at least a 48 hour window in order to fill your face to face request.
Help submitting a request
If you need support with an interpreter request please email: ELLSupport@asdk12.org
If you are a parent or guardian in need of an interpreter and you have not been offered interpreter services, please reach out to school office staff or the staff member you will be meeting with in order to ensure you have the language support you need. Interpreter services are sometimes provided by phone or zoom if a face-to-face interpreter is not available. ASD is obligated to provide interpreter services if needed. If your request is denied, please email lafferty_bobbi@asdk12.org.
