ASD School-Based Medicaid Program

The Anchorage School District participates in the Alaska Medicaid School-based Services Program (SBS Medicaid). This program allows school districts to receive partial reimbursement from Medicaid for qualifying health and related services provided to Medicaid-eligible students. Examples of ASD services that may be eligible for Medicaid reimbursement include occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language, hearing services, nursing services, and mental and behavioral health services.

Parent/Guardian Permission Required

If your child receives any SBS Medicaid-eligible services and qualifies for Medicaid benefits at any time during the school year, ASD must have your consent before using your child's Medicaid insurance information to receive Medicaid reimbursement. ASD's Medicaid Consent documents can be viewed or downloaded from the Annual Written Notification and Medicaid Consent page.

If you have Medicaid plan information for your ASD student with a signed Medicaid Consent form you can confidentially submit it to our School-Based Medicaid office by completing the ASD Student Medicaid Information Form.
