• APEX Logo     Being a Parent Coach in APEX

  • What does it mean to be a parent coach?

A parent coach in APEX receives a weekly progress report through email. The progress report gives detailed information includeing: course averages, activity scores, on-time information, and time spent in the course. All classes that the student is enrolled in through APEX will have information in the progress report. For middle school students in Anchorage, those classes are language arts and math.

  • How do You become a parent coach?

A teacher must add your email address to your child's account profile. Students will be able to see coaches listed, but will not be able to add or remove them. A student can have more than one coach. If you would like to become an APEX parent coach please respond using the form below and a Mears staff member will add you to your child's profile.

  • Why be a parent coach in APEX?

Recieving the weekly progress report as a parent coach is similar to using Parent Connect to see how your child is doing. During the school closure period, grades and assignments will not be posted into Parent Connect for middle schoolers. Please help us keep kids motivated, on-track, and ready to learn!
