3rd Grade Summer Learning

 

• On-line face to face tutoring provided by Air Reading

• Group size will be 3 or fewer students with 1 tutor

• May 26th - Aug 13, 2026

• Tutoring is 30-minute sessions 3 times a week

• Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

• There will be no breaks in tutoring for District closure week

• Parents may choose between 5 tutoring times: 8am, 1pm, 4pm, 5pm, 7pm

• Chrome books will be available for check out from your school

 

Focus: Reading

Dates: Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday : May 26 - Aug. 13, 2026

Times: Parents will be given an opportunity to choose between five time slots. Times will need to remain consistent throughout the summer

Location: Home - students can join Air Reading sessions from any location with an internet connection

Students Served: Students between third and fourth grade identified and eligible through the Alaska Reads Act  

Registration: ASD staff will be reaching out to qualified students not already enrolled in an ASD summer learning program

Instructional Delivery: Tutoring sessions will be conducted over Zoom, students can use desktops, laptops, chrome books, and tablets. For effective instruction screens must be larger than a phone screen.
