ASD Native Advisory Committee
The Native Advisory Committee (NAC) is a parent-, student-, and teacher/counselor-led group dedicated to elevating Indigenous voices. Its purpose is to advise the Superintendent and School Board on shaping policies and curriculum within the Anchorage School District. NAC meetings are always open to the public and have dedicated time at the end of the meeting for public comment.
The NAC last reported to the school board on May 21st, 2025, which detailed our commitment to serving the Indigenous community in ASD through healing and advocacy.

The NAC has a Resolution on Native Languages from November 2022.

The NAC generally meets once a month on Wednesday evenings at the ASD Education Center. Special meetings may be called by the chair from time to time. Please note that dates and locations are subject to change. Meetings are open to the public.
