The district will implement an electronic board document system beginning at its meeting tonight. The new e-governance system will replace the old method of compiling, printing, binding and distributing paper agenda packets by hand. By making meeting agendas and supporting documents available through a system called BoardDocs, the district will distribute documents associated with board meetings more quickly and efficiently, at a reduced cost. The electronic system will also broadcast the current agenda item, proposed action and voting results on a projector screen within the boardroom.
Following each meeting, individuals can review the agenda items and see what action was taken by the board. All documents associated with the meeting will be automatically archived and can be accessed by meeting date or using the system's search feature.
BoardDocs can be accessed via the district's website at www.asdk12.org/school_board. Questions regarding this new system can be directed to Katy Grant, school board secretary, at 742-4315 or email@example.com.
