Students

What students say about Special Schools:

My name is Eddy. I’m 17years old. My father passed away this year. I have a hard time following the rules, but now I’m learning how to follow rules.

I was suspended from every school that I’ve gone to but I like this school and my teacher. My favorite subjects are Math and Language Arts.

I want to be a probation officer for juveniles when I’m older and out of school.

My name is Betsy. I'm 18 years old from Soldotna, Alaska.  I dropped out of school in the 8th grade with no high school credits.

I love to learn new things, so I do enjoy attending Special Schools.

Before I got arrested, I was addicted to meth and heroin. My life was falling apart.

Going to school means a lot to me.  I am able to get this chance to turn things around for myself and be successful in life.

I have a long journey but it is well worth sobriety. My teacher is a great teacher and he has given me the opportunity to finish my schooling.

When I get out of here I want to go to college and get a degree in counseling to help kids like me.
