Dimond Lynx 4-Peat in 4-A State Volleyball

Would the Dimond Lynx 4A State Volleyball Champions, please come forward and their Principal, Tina Johnson. The 2018 state championship is a 4-Peat for the Dimond volleyball team. Dimond was undefeated in regular season and tournament games with a team record of 23-0.

  • The team’s motto this year was ALL IN. This meant in the classroom, on the court and socially.  They held themselves and their teammates to that challenge showing character and the honor they had for each other. The team stuck to the journey and trusted each other through good times and bad.

  • Coach Kim Lauwers said, “Not one person carried us through, everyone played a huge role in winning this 4th state championship in a row.  This team will always look back at those banners in the gym with a huge smile on their faces because they know how much work it took to come out on top!”

  • Dimond is regionally ranked 5th with the American Volleyball Coaches Association, and also made the Maxpreps top 50 high schools in the nation with a ranking of 36th and record of 49-4.

  • The team made history with the most 4A state volleyball tournament championships in the state with 15.

Congratulations on your awesome season and 4-peat win! You make ASD great!
