2019 East High Softball State Champions

  • The 2019 East High state championship softball team ended the year with a 30-6 record.
  • In the state tournament the T-Birds lost their first game and then went on a monumental win streak of 5 games in a row, including 4 straight games on championship Saturday!
  • Junior captain Lexi Davis pitched all 4 games in an unbelievable show of toughness, and timely homeruns by freshman Layla Tosi, and Junior Khianna Smith led the team to victory.
  • The whole team came together on Saturday and refused to lose!
  • For the year; the team outscored their opponents 362-102, had 15 shutout wins, including a streak of 6 games in a row. The team batting average for the year was .401, and they hit 27 home runs.
  • Look out this year as all starters are returning for the T-Birds!
