South High Claims 2019 D1 Football State Championship

 The team finished the season with seven wins and four losses, highlighted by a 27 to 13 final score over their south-side rival, Service, in the championship game.

This win marks South’s fourth title since the school opened in 2004, and the first since 2014.

 

South’s Championship team is made up of (12) Seniors, (18) Juniors, and (2) Sophomores. 

Additionally, there are 66 developmental players on the Junior Varsity and C teams that are the future of South’s program.
