October is Farm to School Month

What's in a Meal

Our meals meet Federal Child Nutrition standards as outlined in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. These standards include provisions for reduced fat, sugar, and sodium as well as increased whole grain and vegetable intake.

In the school year 2018-2019, we served:

  • 36,244 pounds of AK Grown potatoes
  • 34,100 pounds of AK Grown carrots
  • 1,816 pounds of locally sourced ground beef
