Several young adults from the ACT Program had the opportunity to attend the Alaska State Fair as an extended school day on Thursday, August 29th. After the bus ride from Anchorage, we were greeted by ideal weather with sunny skies and warm temperatures. Since it was Buddy Day, two people were able to ride for the price of one. Students had a great experience and enjoyed the rides, games, displays, shows, (and most importantly, the food!) while practicing community-based skills. All too soon, it was time to get aboard the buses for the ride back to the Trust Authority Building. Hopefully everyone went home with happy memories and is looking forward to the fair next year!
