Learn More About Dual Credit Opportunities

The Alaska Middle College School (AMCS) is an exciting dual credit program that provides ASD juniors and seniors an opportunity to complete their high school graduation requirements by taking college classes through our local university.  Students enrolled at AMCS can earn their ASD diploma while potentially earning an Associate of Arts degree from the University of Alaska, Anchorage (UAA). All college classes are offered at the UAA Chugiak-Eagle River Campus, taught by UAA faculty, and the program is offered at no cost to ASD students.

AMCS is hosting two information nights for students and parents interested in learning more about the program and the application process.

  • January 25th from 6:00 – 8:00pm at the Chugiak High School Auditorium
  • February 8th from 6:00 – 8:00pm in the board room at the ASD Education Center

The priority application deadline for enrollment next fall is March 1st.  All application materials and placement testing information can be found under the Apply Now tab at http://amcs.asdk12.org along with additional information about the program overall.
