The goal of CTE Summer Career Exploration program is to support the student transition from 8th grade to 9th grade. The transition support will be delivered through the Career Pathway Intensive Course. Through this course, students can opt for a .5 elective high school credit. Students must attend all 10 days of session two to earn credit and a grade.
Career Pathway Intensive Course: In addition to exploring 6 different career fields, all 8th grade students will take a career interest inventory, spend 2 weeks exploring careers, and design a high school academic plan that prepares them for their post-secondary career interests. Students completing the Middle School Career Exploration Camp will be better equipped to get the most out of what high school has to offer!
Summer Academy Course Descriptions can be found on the KTHS website under course offerings (CTE Summer Exploration). The exploratory career field courses are project based and designed to be fun and engaging.
Attendance will be taken in every class. Students are expected to attend all days of the session. If your child is going to be absent, please contact KTHS 742-8915 to report the absence.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at email@example.com
We look forward to seeing your student on Monday, June 14!
