3rd Session Information/Bus Schedule
Important: King Tech 3rd Session Enrollment Information
Great News -- King Tech High School is offering another 3rd Session!
Classes for 9th through 12th grade students will begin on Monday, January 13th and end on Thursday, March 6th, 2025.
**There will be no class on the days ASD honors holidays, Professional Development days, and February 27th for Parent Teacher Conferences at King Tech.**
**Remote learning days will be consistent with ASD school closure days.**
Days: Monday through Thursday Time 4-5:30 pm
Attendance is mandatory – Students with after school activities or jobs should not take a class if they cannot be in attendance. Students will be dropped after 3 absences (exceptions may apply).
A bus will be provided from the home high school to King Tech. Busses will take students home to proximity stops within their home area. More specific transportation information will follow from KTHS.
The following classes will be offered (please see the program of studies attached):
- Intro to Welding
- Intro to Automotive
- Intro to Business
- Culinary and Hospitality Foundations
- Rural Criminal Justice
- Health Occupations
- Intro to Advertising, Art, and Design
- Intro to Cosmetology
- Intro to Film, Audio, and Video Production
- Intro to Electronics and Telecommunications
- Career and College Mentorship (Mentorship for young men)
- Career and College Mentorship (Mentorship for young women)
- Intro to Early Childhood Education
- Introduction to Civil Engineering
Enrollment Procedures and Requirements:
- 3rd Session is instructional (7th hour class) and not an afterschool activity. All 504 and IEP needs will continue to be met throughout this portion of the student’s day.
- Open to 9th through 12th grade students.
- Students will attend one course for the entire session.
- Courses are worth .5 elective credit and a letter grade for completing the course.
- 1st Enrollment Deadline, Thursday, December 19, 2nd Enrollment Deadline, Wednesday, January 8th - A randomizer will be used to fill the classes. Students registered after that will be waitlisted for a seat to become available.

Classes for 9th through 12th grade students will begin on Monday, October 21st and end on Thursday, December 12th, 2024.
**There will be no class on the days ASD honors holidays, Professional Development days, and October 24th for Parent Teacher Conferences at King Tech.**
**Remote learning days will be consistent with ASD school closure days.**
Days: Monday through Thursday Time 4-5:30 pm
