Student Items Pick-up

Subject: Student Items Pickup and Library Book Drop Off Monday & Tuesday, 8 am to 7 pm

Teachers/Staff Appreciation Week, May 4-8

Happy May Day Campbell STEM Families!

It has now been 8 weeks since students have been at school, and I know families continue to face many challenges and disappointments during this difficult and unprecedented time. I hope you are all healthy and safe, and I want you to know that I miss your children terribly. I can’t wait to have our halls filled again with their amazing presence and laughter.

This coming Monday and Tuesday, May 4 and 5, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., you can pick up items (including band instruments) left at school by your students. Teachers came to school briefly this week to bag up individual student’s books, supplies and personal items and arranged them by class in the MPR. We will adhere strictly to social distancing protocols – wearing masks and gloves, staying at least 6 feet away from each other, etc.

Instructions for items pickup:

Drive into the north parking lot, park along the curb by the multipurpose room entrance, and wait for a staff member to approach the passenger side of your vehicle. Remain in the car, and tell the staff member your student’s name AND teacher(s) name, and they will have someone bring it out to your car. We appreciate your patience while a staff member locates the items.

If you prefer to walk to school for pickup, that’s ok. Please line up on the side walk near the MPR, adhering to social distancing protocols.

If you are unable to pick up items on Monday or Tuesday, we will not be able to keep them until August. Please try to arrange for someone to pick them up.

Instructions for Library Book Drop Off:

There will be a clearly marked container near the front entry for dropping off books all week.

Teachers/Staff Appreciation Week:

I would like to ask you to have your child, if possible, write or record a special note or video (or whatever creative thing they can think of) to honor his/her teacher during Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week next week. Educators all across our district have been working harder than ever before to try to adapt to the situation we find ourselves in so your children can continue learning. We aren’t there yet, but we are moving in the right direction. I am so proud of our Campbell STEM staff for their love and commitment to each and every child!

And finally parents, I want to honor all of you for being your child’s main teacher these past many weeks. You have so much on your plates and have done a commendable job. If there is anything we can do to help you out, please let us know. Remember that issues with technology can be resolved by calling 742-HELP. Take care, and please give your child an air hug for me!
