April 1st

  • Traditional Tuesday is tomorrow. Please wear Indigenous jewelry or clothing.
  • April is the month of the military child. This month was dedicated to the children of military families by the Secretary of Defense in 1986. There are over 1.6 million military children across the U.S. with nearly 400,000 of them being high school aged.  Every April, military bases, cities, and school districts around the world honor military children by hosting special events for them. Purple is the official color of the military child. It's represents the combination of all the colors of the U.S. Armed Forces: Blue for the Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard, Green for the Army, and red for the Marine Corps.  Join the “purple out” on April 15th by wearing your favorite purple clothing in support of these heroes. There will also be a display on the bulletin board located next to the activity office. We invite our military students to pin their favorite or most unique location they‘ve lived.
  • Calling all responsible Juniors and Sophomores. We are in need of volunteers to be graduation assistants for this year’s ceremony. If you are interested, or have any questions about what this includes, please come talk to Ms. Miller in room 181. To sign up, you need to complete an application. • Attention Seniors! It is time to vote for your class motto, class song, and the student and faculty speakers. There are QR codes on posters around the school. If you want a say in any of these graduation items, complete the QR code by Friday April 12th. Also... Senior Fun Day is around the corner. To celebrate, we are going to Dave and Busters. If you are interested in joining, all you need to do is complete a permission slip, located in the activities office and bring $20 cash to school on May 7th. You can also bring a check or a printout of your Parent Connect payment. Info about this event can be found on the posters in the halls. See Ms. Miller with any questions.
