April 3rd

  • It is Paraprofessional Appreciation Day! In the education world, paraprofessionals may take on all sorts of roles. Sometimes called instructional assistants, teachers aides, or simply “paras”, paraprofessional educators perform a number of different duties that go along with teaching, whether in groups or one-on-one with students. This could include providing instructional, behavioral or other types of support inside and outside the classroom. So join us in celebrating Paraprofessional Appreciation Day to honor those who serve in these roles, often without a great deal of glory!
  • There is a football meeting on Thursday at lunch in the student union.   If you are going to play football, or are curious about football, come join us!
  • The Bartlett Math Competition is coming up this Friday, April 5th at Bartlett.  It begins at Bartlett High School promptly at 3:00. You have 30 minutes to answer 6 questions.  This is a NO CALCULATOR quiz.   See your math teacher for more details and to sign up to attend. Let's try and bring the trophy back to Chugiak.
  • Join us this Saturday April 6th from 12-2pm @ Chugiak High School for our 1st Annual Bridge Festival. The goal is to provide a forum in Chugiak and Eagle River to celebrate diversity and culture. There will be door prizes from Starbucks, Oopsie Daisy, Khalid Brothers Coffee, Sudzy Salmon, The Alaska Sea life center and more... Hope to see you there!

  • Attention Seniors! It is time to vote for your class motto, class song, and the student and faculty speakers. There are QR codes on posters around the school. If you want a say in any of these graduation items, complete the QR code by Friday April 12th. Also... Senior Fun Day is around the corner. To celebrate, we are going to Dave and Busters. If you are interested in joining, all you need to do is complete a permission slip, located in the activities office and bring $20 cash to school on May 7th. You can also bring a check or a printout of your Parent Connect payment. Info about this event can be found on the posters in the halls. See Ms. Miller with any questions.
