AMCS to close Chugiak/Eagle River Campus

Due to the significant proposed budget cuts to the University of Alaska, the university has decided to discontinue their lease, and to close the Chugiak-Eagle River Campus (CERC) starting in the fall of 2019. This means the Alaska Middle College School program will remain on UAA’s main campus, as it has been this semester.

In response to this closure, AMCS is currently working to secure additional classroom and office space on main campus to allow our program to serve current students, and to anticipate future growth as students take advantage of free tuition and books. Bussing will continue to be provided to students in the Chugiak-Eagle River to get to main campus for their classes.
