The potatoes and tomatoes have been harvested. Students have come up with recipes to try - baked potatoes, potato salad, and salsa. We can't wait to plant our next year's crop.
Dirt has been delivered. The last 6 letters have been built. The LAKE OTIS garden boxes are ready to be filled. Thanks to Mindy, Silas, and Dale Johnson, and Gabe Rhinehart for all your hard work building the boxes.

We are looking into starting a Garden Club at Lake Otis with the help of Alaska Botanical Gardens. Watch for permission slips if you are interested. We will be working on gardening all winter long.
The wonderful thing about garden-based learning is that it's a hands-on, minds-on experience where my students and I learn together.
