Junior Achievement Virtual Career Fair Open to All Middle and High School Students March 2 and March 4

JA Inspire

The Anchorage School District Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department encourages ASD middle and high school students to participate in the Junior Achievement (JA) Inspire Virtual Career Fair.

JA Inspire is a one-of-a-kind virtual career exploration event for students in Alaska. Close to 100 local businesses, from across the state will be ready to show students what a day in the life of someone with their job looks like, how students can get that job, and what students need to do for the duration of their school career to be successful in that job. JA Inspire will also feature universities, apprenticeship programs, trade schools, and internships so once a student is “inspired” they can gather the information they need on how to achieve their goals.

March 2 is designed for high school students and March 4 is for middle school students.

At these FREE event, students will:

  • Connect to potential employers,
  • Attend webinars and learn valuable soft skills
  • Win prizes by participating in a virtual scavenger hunt (iPads, scholarships, etc.!)
  • Receive a digital backpack to store handouts

High School students interested in attending should reach out to their school counselor or direct school contact. Middle School teachers interested in participating with a class should reach out to Bethany Fernandez at Middle school students interested in attending as an individual should contact their school counselor.

Teachers and guardians can visit ASD's Career and Technical Education (CTE) page for more information and to find their local school coordinator for the JA Career Fair.

This event is made possible because of the support of nearly 20 business partners. Future-forward and civic-minded companies interested in supporting JA events in Alaska can find more information here.
