From the Principal's Desk

Dear Scenic Park Parents and Community-
As you have probably heard by now, after 28 years with the Anchorage School District, I am retiring at the end of this school year. It was not an easy decision for me to make because Scenic Park is a place I love to be every day and the students, staff, parents, and community have become like family to me. While I do not plan to be out of the field of education completely, my two boys are both going to school out of state and I am looking forward to being more flexible with my time and to seeing them more.
As you know, they are in the process of selecting a new principal. I am extremely confident that the transition will be smooth and with everyone's input they will find just the right person to take over. I also know that whomever it is will be very fortunate, as Scenic Park is an AMAZING place to work each day.
We are not planning to leave Alaska right away, I am sure I will see you around the community and I look forward to hearing about all the incredible things your children accomplish in the future!
Thank you for the past 8 years,
