At this time, schools are in a state of emergency closure mandated by the Governor Dunleavy in effect through March 30. Teachers are working diligently to contact each family to assess student learning needs in order to prepare for all learning scenerios. At SAVE, our concern for student and family health is balanced with our mission of helping students achieve their goal of graduation. Over the next week, we will be meeting (virtually, of course) to discuss how we can continue to be creative to meet the individual needs of our students. Distance learning courses will begin Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
In the meantime, a few things to consider:
Many students stocked up on curriculum and assignments to work on over spring break. Students are encouraged to complete those assignments and submit pics of their completed work to their teachers by email.
Think of how you can help others during this time. There are many organizations providing meal services in town. Any documented volunteer hours will result in elective credit.
ASD Student Nutrition is providing breakfast and lunch services to qualifying families. Check out the district website for more info: https://www.asdk12.org/COVID-19.
