ASD Summer School 2023

Summer School Participants,

Welcome to Summer School at Hanshew Middle School! We look forward to learning and having fun this summer. Below are a few important details about summer school.

Dates: June 5th-June 29th

Times: Morning Session 8:00-11:00
Afternoon Session 12:00-3:00

Morning Session

Students should arrive between 7:45-8:00 am. Breakfast will be available at no charge for all students and consists of cereal and milk. There will be a 70 minute ELA class and a 70 minute Math class with a 30 minute Engagement session for all students. Students will rotate through 4 different enrichment sessions during summer school. Examples of enrichment activities: Badminton, Frisbee Golf, Cooking, Board Games, etc. Students should be picked up no later than 11:15 AM.

Afternoon Session

Students should arrive between 11:45-12:00 pm. Lunch will be available for all students at no cost and will consist of a single serve meal with fruit cup and milk. There will be a 70 minute ELA class and a 70 minute Math class with a 30 minute Engagement session for all students. Students will rotate through 4 different enrichment sessions during summer school. Examples of enrichment activities: Badminton, Frisbee Golf, Cooking, Board Games, etc. Students should be picked up no later than 3:15 pm.

If your child will miss sessions due to vacations or other events, please let the teacher know in advance, if possible. You can also contact the school at 907-742-9930.

Students only need to bring their Chromebook, water bottle and a great attitude.
