2022 Anchorage City Wide Trick-or-Eat Food Drive

Mears is a collection point for the Trick-or-Eat Food Drive. Donations will be accepted through October 31st.

The Food Bank of Alaska lists the following as high need items:

tuna fish

beef stew

other canned meats

cereal

canned vegetables

canned fruits

"Dream Items" for Food Bank include:

canned produce (spinach, tomatoes, tomato sauce, fruit in water)

dried fruits (cranberries, cherries, apples, banana chips, raisins, apricots)

dried meats & beans (kidney, pinto, navy, split peas, lentils)

whole grains (instant oatmeal, rolled oats, quinoa, long grain rice, brown rice, gluten free pasta, whole grain pasta, low and no sugar cereal)

healthy fats - nuts & butters (almonds, pecans, walnuts, peanut butter, sunbutter)

milks (powdered and shelf-stable milk, almond milk, soy milk)

prepared meals (low-sodium soups and stews, pop-top meals for kids, kid-friendly healthy snacks)
