This week, students at Mears Middle School hosted students from Chitose, Japan. Anchorage and Chitose are sister cities and visits between the school districts have been occurring for many years.
The Chitose students participated in a wealth of activities during their week here in Anchorage. An assembly with greetings from Superintendent Bryantt, a tour of the mayor's office, the Anchorage museum, time spent at Sand Lake Elementary and Dimond High School, and shadowing their host students to attend classes at Mears.
