Greetings King Tech Students and Parents,

Welcome back to the 3rd quarter! We hope you experienced a great deal of success at King Tech last semester.

We completed our first week of the new quarter and I am excited to report that King Tech staff and students have worked hard to make this a great week of learning. Throughout the week, our teachers welcomed students into their classes with engaging lessons.  Our teachers have managed to put together a distance learning experience that is like no other in the State of Alaska. We pride ourselves in our ability to adapt with the times and continue with our mission to deliver a high-quality career and technical education.

If you are joining us for the first time, I want to warmly welcome you to King Tech High School. We offer two enrollment options for 11th and 12th grade students that is tailored to fit your needs.

  • We offer a part-time option for students who want to attend half of the day at their neighborhood school for academic credits, and then, King Tech for the other part of the day for a 1.5 credit career and technical education Course.

  • We offer a full-time enrollment option which affords you the opportunity to graduate from King Tech High School. Our full-time enrollment option is designed to offer you all the academic credits needed for graduation that might not be earned in your Career and Technical Education classes. Our full-time option is individualized to meet your needs and delivered by academic teachers who are blended learning experts.

There are many benefits with the full-time enrollment option. To learn more about the benefits of full-time enrollment, we will be offering webinar opportunities on February 3 and February 23 (7 pm). A webinar invitation will be going out to the community soon.

Throughout the third quarter, King Tech will continue to safeguard our school community by providing distance learning.  We are pleased to announce that plans are in place for the safe return of our students for the 4th quarter. Our 4th quarter school safety plans can be found here: https://www.asdk12.org/domain/5360

King Tech has incredible teachers, counselors, and a support staff. Communication is key to the success of our wonderful learning community.
