From the Principal
Dear Trailside families,
February is a month of giving. Trailside students are always practicing kindness through caring and sharing. Part of the sharing comes during visit your school’s tours. Every Tuesday we will be having tours provided to parents of prospective students at 9:30 am. On the last Tuesday of the month, the 25th, we have an evening tour that will begin at 6:00 pm. If you know a family that is interested in Trailside, please let them know about the tours.
Parent-teacher conferences are also in February. This is a great time to visit with your child’s teacher and ask questions about their progress and ways you can help at home. Please be aware, the week of conferences we have Wednesday and Thursday half days and then no school for students on Friday. Conferences are the week of February 10th.
The PE department has been outside enjoying the winter weather. Cross country skiing and skating for the students. It has been fun to watch them outside and observe the progress they are making. Mr. Leiser does a great job with our students and teaching them a variety of activities.
The bell choir has begun with Ms. Davenport. Students are making progress and learning new musical skills. Listening to them practice has been fun and enjoyable. Ms. Davenport offers a variety of opportunities for our students outside the school day.
A big shout out to all the teachers at Trailside. We have a dedicated staff that works hard to ensure your children are learning and making progress. If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or the office.
Have a great day!

Notes from the office
- If you are headed out of town on vacation please remember to notify your student's teacher and the office via email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
- Late/Tardy/Sick Please call the office 742-5500 to let us know your student will be out
Message from Mrs. Donaldson in the officeA small change to the way we excuse vacations. You will see a "P" for excused Pre-Arranged Absence instead of "E", ignore any notes of unexcused when you see "P".The "P" lets us know the student was on vacation not sick. Also, please wait a few minutes to see if your children or teacher leave a message when calling you instead of calling the school right away. All phone calls out show the main office number and the office does not know why your child or teacher is calling and we are trying not to interrupt classrooms during the day.
Notes from Nurse Donna
It is COLD outside!
Please make sure your student has all 5 points, so they can enjoy the snow outside!
If your student is in need of outside gear please call the nurse for assistance.
