• What's Howling at Trailside?

    From the Principal

    Dear Trailside,

We are now looking at more daylight and, with that, means the ending of another terrific school year. It is harder to go to bed early and get up in time for school with all the daylight. Please continue to remind your children that sleep is important to be productive at school.

This school year has been an adventure with many changes happening. We are all excited to get back to as normal as we can. I want to start by thanking our school nurse. She has done an exceptional job of keeping staff, students, and families safe this year. She has worked hard to keep up with the changes that have happened with COVID. I also want to thank our staff for being diligent in monitoring and sanitizing this year. It was done multiple times per day, and it has been appreciated. Last but not least, I want to thank you! The parents and families that have monitored, kept students home when asked due to illness, and provided tests when asked. We could not have had such a productive school year without all of us working as a team. THANK YOU ALL!

If you will not be attending Trailside next school year, please call the front office, at 742-5500, and let Karen know. It helps us when placing students in classes and accounting for all students.

Safety First.....We have many students riding bikes to school now, so keep an eye out for them. If your child wants to ride their bike to school, make sure they have a helmet. Students need to walk their bikes when they get on school grounds so they do not run into anyone. Students can lock their bikes up during the day out at the bike racks.

I want to thank all the students and parents for making the school year so great. Working with such a dynamic staff and set of families makes each day productive and fun. I feel so lucky to love my job and to look forward to coming to work each and every day! I hope everyone is able to finish strong and enjoy the summer.

I look forward to next school year and working with all of you again. I hope you get out and enjoy the summer days and spend time with family. Maybe I will see you on the trails sometime! Stay safe and see you for the 2022-23 school year!
