School Registration Information: Registration Dates & Important Information (2025-26 School Year)

 

Are You New to ASD? Pre-Enrollment Opens July 15th for New-to-District Students

An online Pre-Enrollment application is the first step to enroll your student(s) in the Anchorage School District (ASD). You are eligible to submit pre-enrollment if your student(s) has never been enrolled in ASD or was not enrolled at the end of 2024-2025 school year.

Please note, Online Pre-enrollment is a 2-step process. Submitting a Pre-enrollment application is the first step followed by Online Registration through ParentConnect. Upon submission of the pre-enrollment application, an office staff member will send and email to the applicant with the pin and password to access online registration in ParentConnect.

Parents of New-to-District students are required to submit the following documents at the time of registration:

  • Proof of Municipality of Anchorage Residency (utility bill, lease, or real estate contract, etc.) will be verified for the following situations: new to school/new-to-district student (including kindergarten) throughout the school year
  • Birth Certificate (copy acceptable)
  • Current immunization records
  • Names and phone numbers of emergency contacts and individuals who may pick up the child from school
  • Name and address of previous school attended
  • Copies of current legal papers if there is a custody agreement
Who is a New-to District Student? 
  • Students who have never been enrolled in the Anchorage School district before 
  • Students returning after having left the Anchorage School District to attend in another district or state 
  • Incoming kindergartners that did not attend an Anchorage School District preschool program

If you are re-enrolling your current ASD student(s) for the 2025-2026 school year, log in to Q Parent Connection and use the Online Registration system which will be available starting April 24th, 2025.

Tuesday, July 29th, 9:00am - 3:00pm 

Wednesday, July 30th, 9:00am - 3:00pm & 5:00-7:00pm

Thursday, July 31st, 9:00am - 3:00pm 


Dimond Estates Back-to-School Registration BBQ  (No Wi-Fi, only paper registration packets are available)

Klatt's office staff will be on hand to assist with the registration process and answer any enrollment questions you may have.

Date & Time: Thursday, July 24th, 5:00-7:00pm

Location: Dimond Estates - Corner of Arctic Blvd & Garnet St. 

Please bring a copy of your child's Birth Certificate, Immunization Records, and Proof of Residency. jpeg images of these documents will also be accepted by emailing: askklatt@asdk12.org


Returning Students
 
 
Online Registration for returning students is open through August 15th.
 
Who is a returning student? 
  • Currently enrolled students who intend to return next year 
  • Students changing divisions - Elementary to Middle, Middle to High 
  • Students who have moved from one ASD zone to another ASD zone (you will need to provide proof of residency to your new school) 
  • Incoming Kindergartners who attended an Anchorage School District preschool program
