About Birchwood ABC

Birchwood ABC is a neighborhood school with an alternative program. Birchwood ABC is a Kindergarten through 5th grade neighborhood school with an alternative program. Our students are drawn from our neighborhood and through the lottery system. Students at Birchwood receive traditional, direct instruction in basic academic skills. High academic and behavior standards are trademarks of our program. Through the Anchorage Basic Curriculum (ABC) philosophy, we emphasize character development, citizenship and patriotism with our students.
