Homework

Homework will be assigned weekly at all grade levels. Homework is not intended to be busy work. It will be assigned with four major objectives in mind:

1. To promote good study habits
2. To encourage self-discipline
3. To reinforce and provide practice in basic skill acquisition
4. To inform parents about the skills and concepts being taught in the classroom.

Student homework assignments will be realistic. Homework will be assigned a minimum of once a week. The following can be viewed as a guide for homework assignments:

• Grades K-3 20-30 minutes
• Grades 4-6 50-60 minutes
