Message from the Principal 

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this introduction to you as the newly appointed Principal of Alaska Native Cultural Charter School.  My name is Sheila Sweetsir. To let you know a little about me, I am Koyukon Athabascan and was raised in the village of Galena, Alaska. I received my Bachelors as well as my Ed Leadership from the University of Alaska Anchorage.  I have been an educator for 20 years with the Anchorage School District. 

I am honored to have been selected to join such a wonderful group of dedicated teachers and staff.  The office staff and myself have been here for the past two weeks getting ready for when students start on August 20th to ensure a smooth transition for the 2018-2019 school year. I look forward to meeting you and thank you in advance for welcoming me into this amazing ANCCS family!  Enjoy the remaining days of summer!
