ERE: Relocation Practice Drill 09/30/22 (sent 09/28/2022)
Hello ERE Families,
Eagle River Elementary will be participating in a district-mandated alternate site drill this Friday, September 30th at 1:45pm. We will be walking together as a school from the main building to our alternative site, the First Baptist Church parking lot, and back. There are a variety of reasons we may need to relocate to our alternative site, such as a gas leak, an active ALICE incident, or natural disaster.
This drill will take approximately half an hour to complete. During this time, there will be no students or staff in the building. Please plan accordingly if you anticipate the need to pick-up a student early.
Thank you,
Katy Edison, Admin Assistant

Arrival And Dismissal Update (sent 08/28/22)
Hello ERE Families!
Thank you for hanging in there with us as we navigate arrival and dismissal without busing. You are doing a great job! I am also proud of our staff who have been all hands on deck the last two weeks. We make a great team!I have attached an updated pick-up map and arrival and dismissal procedures.
A few things we would like to stress:
1. If you need to change how you are picking up your student, please call the office as early in the day as possible. Last minute changes are difficult and can be confusing to younger students.
2. If you PARK your car and get out, your child is considered a WALKER and you will meet them at the FRONT door. Please do not come to the side parking lot door to pick up your child. This is for loading students into cars in the pick-up line only. Staff will send you to the front and call for your child to meet you there, no exceptions.
3. We wish we could have families walking students to their classrooms. We are back to our security measures, which means you will need to give hugs, kisses and wish your student well OUTSIDE the front doors to the building. If you have a need to come into the front office, please let the staff know at the front doors and then go directly into the front office. Thank you for understanding as we work to keep our students safe.
Have a most wonderful week!
