Eagle Academy Charter School is a tuition-free, K-8 public charter school that is part of the Anchorage School District.
Eagle Academy Charter offers an academically challenging program requiring mastery of performance standards before students progress. Our academic focus makes us one of the top schools in the Anchorage School District. Our staff is dedicated to teaching Eagle Academy's selected curriculum and working with our students to ensure they each achieve their highest level of education. Our curriculum and program provide an outstanding foundation for our students to succeed in middle school, high school, and beyond.
Program Highlights
- Math and Language Arts instruction are grouped by achievement level rather than by grade level,
- Standards-based instruction and report cards in language arts, math, science, and social studies,
- Instruction using the Spalding Method: a research-based, multisensory method of direct instruction,
- Instruction in Human Growth and Development, taught in fifth and sixth grades, is abstinence-based and gender-separate,
- Emphasis on ideals of patriotism and good character,
