What do I need?

We LOVE volunteers at Denali Montessori! Although the Montessori Method depends a great deal on the prepared environment of the classroom, this prepared environment is not easy to provide. A great deal of time and energy is required from the teacher of each class as well as from the children's families. We need volunteers to help in the workroom, reading cart, field trips, morning drop off, afternoon dismissal and more! Whether you have 15 minutes or an hour, we welcome your support. To volunteer in our school, please make sure you have completed the Anchorage School District Volunteer Application and Waiver. This is required to be completed each school year, and takes 5-7 business days to process. Additionally, when you come in to volunteer, you must have your state-issued driver's license or ID. 

Driving on a field trip is a great way to spend time with your child and their class!  To be a volunteer driver we also need the Volunteer Driver form with all documents uploaded. Please note that the insurance minimums required are higher than Alaska State requirements.
