  • Reminder, the pie-eating contest is today at lunch! Don’t forget to support your class in eating the pies the fastest. Today's safe driving fact: Did you know that a majority of crashes by teen drivers occur between 9 pm and 6 am? Don’t forget to check the headlights on your vehicle before you leave! Enjoy prom this weekend, and drive safely! Promcorn is for sale this afternoon for $2!
  • Prom is this Saturday, April 19th, from 8 pm-11 pm at the AK Native Heritage Center. Today is the last day to buy a ticket. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Thank you for supporting our school.
  • Student Government election reminder - if you are running for Student Body President or Executive Board President, applications are due to Mrs. Lewis today by 3:30 pm. Applications for Class Officers and Members at Large are due in the next few weeks. 
  • Are you ready for another trivia question – anyone under 30 should be able to get this one!
What major social media platform was launched in 2006 and has since gone through a makeover? 
Drop your answer in the box in the library. Winners will be announced on Monday. You can find questions and last week’s answers on the bulletin board across from the vending machines.
  • Senior Fun Day will be on Thursday, April 24th, at Dave and Busters.   Permission slips are required to attend and can be picked up from Mrs. Klaameyer in room A 205.  All permission slips need to be returned to Mrs. Klaameyer by 3:15 pm on Monday, April 21st.  If you do not return your permission slip by the deadline, you will not be allowed to attend. 
  • SENIORS: If you plan to pursue a post-college career in communication, music or music education, elementary education, school counseling, or special education, a few last-minute scholarship opportunities have come to our attention, so PLEASE check your emails for the scholarship information sent from Mrs. Witte!!  These $2500 scholarships are for students who have been with ASD for at least 3 years, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and plan to pursue education and careers in those areas.  The applications are via Google Forms, and you can click the links in the email, so don’t leave money on the table… apply today! The first deadline is tomorrow. See Mrs. Witte in the curriculum office with any questions.
     
  • We have some catching-up to do on our weekly All-In drawing winners! So, for the week of March 31st – April 4th, a big congratulations goes out to …***Caleb Stiglich!!*** And for last week, April 7th – 11th, congratulations to ***Corbyn La Salle!!*** Thank you for being All-In and exemplifying our ERHS core traits of excellence, community, and respect. Caleb & Corbyn, please see Mrs. Laret in the 2nd-floor counseling office to choose your All-In prizes!
     
  • Summer School Registration is open! There are two options this year:
 
  •    - Credit Recovery, or
       - Grade Improvement and/or Original Attempt.  
Pick up a registration form in the Curriculum office or from your counselor. Seats are first-come, first-served, so sign up before it’s too late. 
  • Today’s Lunch: Grilled Cheese Sandwich or Buffalo or Cheese Pizza or Pretzel Dogs, Fresh Veggies from the Salad Bar, Applesauce or Mixed Fruit, Milk.
