Parent News 3/17

Greetings Dimond Families:

We hope that your family is well. I am sure you may have many questions regarding activities, events, instruction and graduation. Naturally, the uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation has created anxiety and concern about the future. We appreciate that as a community we are pulling together during this time.

Today, you received a call from your student’s third period teachers. If you received a message, the teacher will follow-up on Wednesday. We wanted to reach out to families to find out how you are doing and reassure you that students need not worry about instruction. In addition, in the event the school closure is extended we need to assess the ability of families to access instruction electronically. Thank you for sharing with us your needs and concerns and how we can support your family.

STUDENT PICK UP OF PERSONAL NECESSARY ITEMS

Students will be allowed to come to Dimond High School this Wednesday, March 18, from 9:00am to 11:00am and again from 12:00pm until 2:00pm ONLY, to retrieve necessary items from their lockers. Students are to arrive at the front door with their student ID or an alternate form of ID and check in with the staff member posted at the entrance. Staff will retrieve all items and place them in a plastic bag that will be supplied.  We appreciate your patience in this process.

FOOD SERVICES

For families utilizing school food services, ASD Student Nutrition will provide free food beginning Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food will be available for any child 18 years of age or younger at established food service sites. ASD staff will greet students upon arrival and accompany them to receive their pre-packaged breakfast and lunch meals. During the week of March 16, meals will be available at the following distribution sites:
