DHS News Blast 5/18/2021

Dear Dimond Families:

We appreciate your support and partnership this school year.  Although it was a challenge navigating remote learning, the re-entry of school and mitigation plans, we have finished the 4th quarter.  Hopefully, your families have plans for some fun and relaxation this summer.  Remember, if your student is needing to take summer school courses, information is provided below.

We encourage families to use the track and field during the summer.  Please help us keep our campus safe and clean.  If you see anything unusual or suspicious, please contact APD’s non-emergency 311 line.

Please take a moment to complete the survey below, to help ASD plan for the upcoming school year:

Thank you for completing the Climate and Connectedness survey. Your feedback is valuable for continued improvement. Here are the results of this year’s survey.

Dimond's results can be found with the following link. Your District's Public Link: Here

Yearbook sales ended May 2nd. The books will be distributed sometime in August and available for Senior pick up as well.

Unless you have graduated or plan to move out of the school district, you are to keep your Chromebooks.  For those graduated seniors and individuals moving, you can turn in your Chromebooks to the front office at the end of the year.  Seniors taking AP tests can hold onto their Chromebook until they have finished their testing.  When done, please give it to the counselor at your last testing session.

Please see attached flyer for info on ordering Graduation photos.

Please read below for the process to request summer school courses.

Over 350 DHS library books are still out from the 2019-2020 school year. That’s over $5,000 to replace. Please take a look around for any ASD library books. Books from any ASD school can be returned to Dimond either by dropping them off in the drop box at the front of the school, in the bin in the arctic entrance, or by bringing them to the library. No fines are ever charged for overdue books! Thank you!

This Friday, May 21, is the last day the teachers will be reporting to the building.  The remaining office staff will be in the building until June 9.  The hours of availability will be 6:30am until 3:00pm, M-F until then.  Office staff will return on July 13.

Final 20/21 grades will be viewable in Parent Connect on 5/24.
